If it's easy to pull out, it's a flower or veggie. If it gives a lot of resistance, it's a weed. I know this is not at all helpful, but it's true! I plan to do lots of gardening (and getting dirty) this weekend.

I love seeing those little green shoots coming up out of the brown earth.

I hate to bug you here in your comments, but your email link doesn't seem to work for me. I have printed out your Summer Sky pattern from Mag Knits awhile ago, but did not print out the charts. Is there a link to those somewhere? Or, if you ever get a chance can you send the charts to me? I know you must be going crazy with the demise of MagKnits, but I have GOT to knit this. It is the perfect little cardi for me.

I hope you are still having fun in the dirt. We had about 8 inches of snow yesterday after a day of 80+ degrees. (the foothills of Denver, CO)

I've added you to my bloglines. Great blog!

Have a great day!

I could write pages in response to your latest blog entries--so much to celebrate, think about, and experiment with. Thanks for taking the time to present everything so carefully.

Are those pinks, in your mom's garden? I always loved those so much - especially if you were lucky enough to get one of the varieties that smells like cloves.....

homemade compost is the greatest mess.
did you see the TV news clips about the wisconsin farmer who is turning the ethanol from manure into enough electricity to pay his $4 K a month dairy farm elec bill, with enough left over for like a hundred neighbors?
yeah, we love decay.
