It's at moments like this that I just hate the inter-species language barrier. We could strike a deal with wayward kitties, say--leave scratch an X in the flower bed before you wander if you'll be gone a while but plan to return. That way we'd know when to immediately go into panic mode. My Sparky didn't come home last night, but I've learned not to worry with him unless he's still missing the next morning.

Whew! Mack will go missing and while I know he's down the street raiding the neighbor's cat's food bowl, there's always that little voice in my head that worries that something's happened to him, so I know your relief!

I'm glad the kitty is back. it is amazing sometimes how animals seem so intuned with us and then at other times so oblivious to certain feelings.

What a cute looking cat! It's strange the attachments we make sometimes, not even realising we've made them until they disappear.
