I just pushed myself to start knitting more because I am motivated to help chairty groups especially breast cancer and shelter for abused women. We have several friends who overcame Breast Cancer and I am a strong supporter of early detection/research. With the yarns I would make hats and donate to either cause I have listed above.

Thank you for sharing your story. I wish I could donate, but I’m not able to right now. I have a friend who is currently finishing up radiation treatment on her breast. Luckily they caught it in the very earliest stages. I will be posting your website on my blog. I hope it helps.

Wow. This post has moved me so deeply. I did not know about your mom, and I am so sorry for your loss. I am going over to donate (will let you know when I have – and will let you know when I post on my blog about it too), in memory of my grandmother Edith (who survived two bouts with breast cancer) and in memory of my friend Sara (who survived the first time, but did not the second time, when she left behind two young boys and many grieving friends). Thank you for doing this.
