Hooey! That's one hot little baby sweater you have on your hands! And what an experience! It's amazing the things we're willing to do/earn in order to finish something up. I can't imagine how scared out of my pants I would've been to cut and graft... guess there's no fear of steeking for you!

It's absolutely gorgeous, and I hope we get to see a picture of the little one in it soon!

Hey man, it was funny AND accurate. Told you so...and I say that with regret and sympathy, not with triumph. I have been there oh, so many times...by now I know what running-out-of-yarn looks like when I see it.

Good fix, though!

You were VERY brave - but it sure looks like it was worth it - an adorable sweater!
I think we all have to make that mistake (not enough yarn) at least once before we understand the trauma it involves!

You left me breathless with terror there for a moment. I'm glad you found a way to make it work out.

you ripped out stripes? O.o
how can you rip out stripes from the middle of a knit? (i mean the tech "how"...)
all that work for a baby jacket... your friend must be very special - she'll surely cherish the jacket even more now!
