While we were gone

We saw some friends
and family
Played in the trees
Made some mischief
Gained a family member
Remembered another
Then, Tad and I headed to the mountains for a bit.
We took in some beautiful scenery, hiking by ourselves and with friends
hung out with the kids
some knitting of course
and made a brief visit to SAFF
P.S. I had a cool moment in the car on our travels – Wearing my Remington sweater, wrapped in a scarf from Rooster, Kirsten’s sock in my hands and Ruth’s sweater packed for a backup project, books borrowed from the Spinning Guild for reference, awesome music from Rachel & Rooster in the CD player, my notions bag a gift from Mel, years ago now, The P.S. Mitts I did for Gryphon packed for some much needed extra warmth…. I wish I had documented it somehow, but it was more a feeling than a photograph I guess. How cool to be surrounded by reminders of you all – it made me very conscious of all the great friendships that I’ve developed through blogging and reading, attending guild meetings and fiber festivals. Neat. I hope you all are well – Looking forward to catching back up with you and your doings.

Wow–you’ve been busy…but in a good way–the one that involves friends and family and fresh mountain air! Thanks for sharing the pictures from all your adventures…the scenic ones brought a pang of homesickness…I miss the Eastern countryside! And your ‘moment’ in the car? Definitely cool.
