Sometimes I feel like I will never do a technique post again. And that makes me a little wistful. I miss doing those. But there are lots of other things that make me happy, it is outweighed.

Stacey says I am only 10 votes behind the leader to be in the Gold Edition of disco underworld for issue #10. So, though I’m not sure I really deserve it and can’t quite believe I have the audacity to say it, I have to admit that it would be pretty damn cool to see my profile and photos in the special print edition when I get my hot little hands on it in December (you can get one too, it’s going to be awesome!). Not enough at home time to finish pattern writing yet (for the sneak peek on p. 24 above!), but I’m working on it. Slow and steady.

And during our commute to work, this is growing.

I like it, though there may be some unintended consequences going on… Time will tell if it will be a great sweater or just a great learning experience!

The Low Anthem last week was absolutely amazing. Blown away. If you ever have a chance to see them, you won’t be sorry. They are coming back in November with Blind Pilot, and we will definitely be there. Live music is right up there with hiking and knitting for me. Intensely happy-making stuff.

I have got so much going through my head and there’s just not enough time to write. I caught on to some seriously inspiring stuff this week and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed, in that OMG-amazing-myhead-itmightexplode! sort of way… (or is that just me that gets that way?) Please check out the sidebar for somethings that have completely inspired me this week, I REALLY think you will like.

I’ve been trying to catch up on blog reading and such (and oh, Flickr, I miss you, but 2 minute increments are just not enough!), but time is running short and I don’t think I will get to post again before we leave for our visit to northern California & Oregon – Take care of yourselves, be well, I’ll be back in a few weeks and will have a couple extra days off to decompress and catch up on everything before returning to work (YAY!!!)
