Knitting Since: February 2005 (for me, that’s a long time for a hobby - I’m officially a convert!)

Who taught me: Though I come from a line of talented knitters other needlework hobbyists, my terrific SIL Martha got me started.

I love to knit: Everything that I’ve tried so far! Lace, colorwork, sweaters; Wool, alpaca, silk, bamboo….

Other fiber-related hobbies: Spinning

Other-other interests & hobbies: Music, Hiking, Yoga, Reading, Movies, Growing veggies, Coffee-Roasting, and of course, Pipe-Dreaming - the crazier, the better!

Causes that I care about: Sustainability, Breast Cancer Research

Children: 2 dogs - Mathias (aka The Little Man, etc.) & Cadence (aka The Sweeter, aka Sweeter-Sweeter-Sock-Eater, etc); 1 Cat - Midnight (aka the Middy-Cat-O)

Someday I will: Knit an heirloom lace shawl with my own handspun & also this sweater from Norsk Strikkedesign. Also, Hike the AT, also Kilimanjaro, Live Off-Grid, Raise fiber animals and chickens…..
